Bhurani Raita

Bhurani raita is a very simple, quick, creamy and yet delicious raita from Hyderabadi Cuisine. It is mostly served with Biryani. But the ingredient which adds flavour to the raita is garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup full fat yogurt curd/dahi
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • black salt or regular salt as per taste

Step by Steps

1.Add garlic cloves in a mortar-pestle.

2. Crush them and add a little water in it. Leave it for 5 minutes.

3. Whip the yogurt with a wired whisk till smooth.

4. Add cumin powder, salt and black pepper powder. Stir well.

5. Now with the help of a strainer, strain the garlic juice into the raita. Mix well.

6. Garnish burhani raita with cumin powder and red chilli powder. Serve chilled or immediately.
