Onion Mint Raita

Onion Raita is best served with veg Tava pulao, peas pulao, veg biryani, kashmiri pulao or biryani or even with roti-sabzi or dal-rice. pulao and biryani are usually served with an accompanying raita.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm Yogurt
  • 25 gm Mint Leaves
  • 1 Onion (medium size)
  • As per taste Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Salt
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder

Step by Steps

1) Beat the yogurt very well.

2) Cut the onion in rings and soak in tap water for 5 minutes.

3) Make thick paste from fresh mint leaves.

4) Add the mint paste, all the spices and onion rings in the beaten yogurt.

5) A very good summer recipe from yogurt is ready. Serve it chilled with paratha, biryani, pulao etc.
